The New Vauxhall Corsa VXR 202bhp

At the beginning of 2015 the British car’s manufacturer Vauxhall announced the release of the new and improved Vauxhall Corsa VXR and these are some hot news for all car enthusiasts out there, because the new Corsa is more exciting and really beefs it up over the standard model, as promised. And with the more aggressive and bold exterior and the promise to be the main competitor to Ford Fiesta ST and Peugeot 208 GTi, the debut of the New Vauxhall’s model at March’s Geneva motor show makes us impatient for the opinion of the brand’s fans and everyone with enthusiasm.

Available in the showrooms since May this year, the new Vauxhall Corsa VXR 202bhp has a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine and beats the main rivals from Ford and Peugeot with more horsepower – more than 200bhp that combined with the torque figure of 245Nm allows the impressive 0 to 62mph in 6.8sec and a top speed of 143mph. Additional 35Nm are delivered by the over-boost feature when a swift overtake is required. In addition, the torque is now much lower down, which means more immediate getaway. Combined with the chunky bumpers and the 17-inch alloys and all the improved specifications mentioned above, the new Vauxhall Corsa VXR is all about more aggressive and extreme than every other Corsa generation before.

Offered in only three-door model this car has a lot to offer through the unpretentious design. Another impressive feature of this already impressive small family car is the Frequency Selective Damping system by Koni added that brings about 10 mm reduction in ride height and help control body movement to ensure a smooth ride. A new and innovative feature of this Corsa model is that Vauxhall also has added a two-stage electronic stability programme that allows the driver to switch between Competition Mode, which eases up the ESP and turns off everything.

Do you find the new Vauxhall Corsa intriguing and a must-have on the car market? With so much history and 3 car of the year awards behind the back, do you think that Vauxhall is keeping its good positions on the international car market with the release of this model, or you are more keen on the idea that although the improved features this car is nothing more but the next Corsa in the showrooms?

Share your opinion with us! Vauxhall Corsa is ever so beloved because of its simplicity, safety and reliability. Then, every now and then Vauxhall’s Corsa undergoes a few facelifts in order to be current and fit the standards for a modern look and functionality and to maintain a stylish image. No matter the improvements done, or because of them, the Corsa model never leaves the top 10 most popular British cars rating since it was first released. We guess that this status won’t change any soon!
