Here for sale is my Ford Transit Smiley tipper, a genuine low mileage example showing only 64,000 miles.
This is a very honest old Transit that has clearly been looked after throughout its life. It starts, drives and works exactly as it should. The engine runs beautifully, starts first time and pulls well through all the gears. The gearbox is nice and quiet, the clutch feels good and there are no knocks, bangs, rattles or unwanted noises when driving.
The van is a pleasure to drive for its age and feels tight on the road. It has not been abused and has plenty of life left in it. These older Transit Smiley models are becoming much harder to find, especially with such low mileage, and this one is a proper usable example.
The tipper body works correctly, lifting and lowering as it should. The hydraulic system operates well and it is ready to go straight to work. The body has obviously seen use over the years, as you would expect from a working tipper, and there are areas of surface rust and age-related wear, but nothing that takes away from it being a very useful truck.
The chassis is solid and the underneath is in good usable condition. It has been kept as a working vehicle and has not been sitting around doing nothing. It would be ideal for someone looking for a reliable tipper for building work, landscaping, farming, groundwork or general jobs where you need a simple and dependable vehicle.
