Bone stock example, with many of the recently replaced parts being OEM BMW authentic. In my ownership, I have had the 130I flash installed. The car feels great without the factory restrictions applied and drives even better than it did pre-map, the only differences are extra torque lower in the rev range and more power higher up the rev range; this is how the car should have rolled out of the factory in my opinion. This aside, the car drives exactly as it should — smooth, responsive and pulls strongly through the rev range, with the fantastic sound and character you only get from BMW’s naturally aspirated straight-six engines.

This is a genuinely well-maintained example that has recently had a substantial amount of preventative and corrective maintenance carried out. Anyone familiar with these cars will know many of the common and (very) expensive jobs have already been done - see last pic on listing for recent maintenance, making this a strong, usable example that’s ready to enjoy. I’ve got videos of the undercarriage, more than happy for any potential buyers to look at her from below, it will only make you want to buy the car more!

I’ve spent over £3,000 on parts in the last 6 months - this car has had some much needed TLC and is ready to be loved!


Like all cars of this age, this car is not perfect. There are your classic age related marks on the bodywork, paint is pretty good all things considered. It’s got a check engine light for an O2 sensor. Needs a wheel bearing, 3/4 have already been replaced. Finally, the parking sensors are intermittent, usually they don’t work, however sometimes they do.


Apart from those minor issues, this is a ready to rip 125i. The engine is incredibly healthy, oil and filter were last changed at 96,200 miles - 7 litres of shell helix ultra 5W-30 and a genuine BMW oil filter. The gearbox is silky smooth, the clutch engages strong and the pedal feel is great. The E82 factory recall has been completed. Wheels are in really good condition and tires have loads of life left in them.

Selling as I’m now a 3.0 BMW fan boy, replacing this one with an N54 135i. Didn’t plan to sell this car, hence the extensive list of recent work, however drove a friends 135i recently and fell in love.
