For sale is my 2012 Mazda 3 1.6 TS2 diesel, finished in silver. It’s a 5-door hatchback with 102,191 miles on the clock and 4 previous owners. I’ve owned the car since May 2024 and it’s been a reliable daily, mainly used for commuting to Plumpton College. The sale is simply because it’s no longer needed.

The engine is strong and pulls well — surprisingly responsive for a 1.6 diesel — and it’s very economical to run. Cheap road tax at £35 per year. Comes with 2 keys.

I’ve included plenty of photos and have tried to be as clear and honest as possible about the car’s condition.

Various surface scratches and stone chips consistent with age (see photos)

Scrape on the driver’s side rear arch

Gear knob material is peeling

Small tears in the boot seal causing minor water ingress during heavy rain

Can be slightly smoky on cold start; clears once warm. I’ve been advised it may be an over-fuelling injector

Light staining on seats (see photos)

Overall, it’s a solid, economical car with plenty of MOT and recent maintenance done. It’s not perfect cosmetically, but it’s a dependable and practical vehicle.
