Description
Honda CBR125R RW - 9 125cc Sports Motorcycle.
MOT until 15 / 09 / 2015 (last MOT was performed at 16,077 miles - so had not been used much since then. 2 advisories were the drive chain sprocket carrier and the drive chain were 'worn but not considered excessive'). Last serviced on 02 / 01 / 2015 at 16,806 miles by Fowler's Bristol. This was a major service and performed as the 17,500 mile service. The current mileage is only 17,210 miles, so another service won't be due for a while. It was advised to service at 20,000 or sometime in the beginning of 2016. Since purchase in September 2013 from Peter Hammond Motorcycles, bike has had: New exhaust downpipes (had corroded through within a week of ownership - replaced at half cost by Peter Hammond Motorcycles), New genuine Nissin (Nissin manufacture the braking systems for Honda motorcycles) front brake disc as old one was warped. This was a failure on the last MOT, and so was replaced before having another MOT carried out, resulting in the advisories noted above. A puncture repair on the rear tyre as shown in the last photo. Repaired last month and has not presented any issues, and tyre is holding pressure well.
Overall a fantastic beginners bike, incredibly easy to ride and get used to with a bit more poke and better styling than other more traditional learner legal 125's. The Nissin brakes are also incredible for the size of the bike. As it is a 125 the fuel economy is excellent (£ 6 - 7 to fill once the gauge reaches the red, and this seems to manage around 200 - 300 miles depending on where it is ridden), and is only £17 a year to tax. I have had great fun on this bike, and lots of memories so it is a reluctant sale, however a car is a necessity for me and I cannot afford both. Also included is a rear paddock stand (necessary for lubricating the chain), a Mammoth security chain (outer material has seen better days but the chain itself is in good condition) as well as what remains of my Castrol Racing chain lubricant (thought I may as well throw this in as I now have no use for it). 2 keys for both bike and chain. £1500 ONO.
