For sale is my BMW E93 3 series convertible - i bought it last year in February, it was a bit of a project car for me but I'm due to start a new job soon so i no longer have a need for it, I have done loads of work on it since I've had it including the following:
- Replaced Sachs dampers front and rear + shock mounts /
- oil cooler gasket, water pump, thermostat, 2 x rad pipes /
- front control arms and anti-roll bar links /
- new BMW battery, starter motor/
- track rods and track rod ends,
- 2 x VANOS,
- spark plugs, oil change with Liqui Moly 5w40
- Michelin Pilot Sport front and rear
- Front ATE discs and pads
- serpentine belt and tensioner
The car drives very well, the engine is very smooth and oil changes were done very regularly before me owning the car, and the injectors and NOX sensor were replaced a couple of years ago - so all is good there.
The rear brake calipers will need some maintenance, and the handbrake will need adjusting - i have already bought new pistons, and brake refurb kits (front and rear) and new spring kit for handbrake and will include these parts in the sale.
The auto transmission works well but could do with a AT fluid / filter service at some point.
The body work is good - what you would expect for a 15 year old car - there is one slight ding / crack next to the front right headlight caused by a very slow speed knock, the top brackets on the headlight have cracked so the headlight has been pushed back about 1cm, and there is a small crack on the plastic fender - all easily fixable, but I haven't got time to sort it unfortunately.
Overall the car is in very good shape, and mechanically very good with the main big expense jobs being done, it wouldnt take much to get this car into excellent condition.
MOT is due February 2023, there is a massive pile of receipts available for all the work done on the car.
